Summer!

The kids are very excited that school is out! Although Ellie asked today how many more days until school starts again. She is very excited to start first grade. They both had a great year. We don't have any major trips planned. We are going to the Western Slope (grand junction) for Andy's grandfather's 90th birthday! We plan on spending a week and go to Durango and Mesa Verde. My grandfather turns 80 this summer so we will make the trip to Idaho to help him celebrate. At that time we may go up to Yellowstone. Summer is so short, who knows what we will actually get done!

School started yesterday! The kids both had a great time. Ellie's favorite was riding the bus. Tate said his favorite was lunch! It is really quiet here today. I will have to figure out what to do with myself, any suggestions?

It isn't very often when rain is fun to watch, but we all were staring out the windows! We ar heading to Denver to spend a couple of days with Andy's mom. The kids are excited 'cuz she has a pool at her apartment.

Hey everyone!

We are having a busy summer! The kids have had Vacation Bible school, swim lessons, soccer camp and a family vacation! We went to South Dakota for vacation. We had a lot of fun. We took in all the sites. I think everyones favorite was Bear Country. Bear Country is a zoo, but you drive around, the animals are out. They had a lot of the species that are native to our area. Of course they had a lot of bears. They were just walking around it was fun to watch them. At the end we got to go inside and see some of the smaller animals, including 8 bear cubs! It was fantastic.

It is hard to believe that summer is half over! In the fall Tate will be in second grade and Ellie will start kindergarten. We are also in the process of building a barn. The kids think we are going to have a farm when it is all done. They will be sadly disapponted when we have a goat or 2!
